Design a Circular Economy with Business, Government and Tech

  • 12:30PM - 1:30PM | Capital Factory House
  • Presented by AFWERX

As the need for concepts based around sustainability become more pressing to secure the health and well-being of communities around the globe, government and businesses are looking for ways to both spur innovation and incorporate new concepts into their operations to better manage natural resources. With the help of digital technology, cities, military installations, and businesses alike are working to incorporate innovative practices that shift them away from the linear system and more toward a circular one that’s built to last.

The Air Force is looking to smart city designs and circular economy concepts to build a future force that manages resources responsibly and reduces waste and pollution. With more than 50 installations across the U.S. and the world along with an installation and mission support annual budget of approximately $10 billion, the aim is to incorporate these innovative concepts into current and future Air Force base planning and design.
