Raising venture capital as a startup founder is hard, but raising capital as a first time fund manager is even harder. In an era where LPs are said to be holding back on making new commitments, what has given VCs who are raising for the first time a chance to succeed? How does diversity come into play when women or BIPOC managers raise? We will use this session to hear stories of how first time managers are working to raise their first funds and look at trends successfully raised their funds and look at larger trends around new fund formation including newer vehicles to allow non-accredited investors to participate as LPs in VC funds.
