Maritime Innovation and the Blue Economy
2:30 PM - 7 PM | Voltron
The maritime industry is not new to the US. We have used shipping to move commerce around the world for hundreds of years. However, as technology becomes more mature and the recent challenges around the supply chain become worse, innovation in the maritime space is becoming more important. Washington Maritime Blue, in partnership with Braid Theory, Sea Ahead, and more presents an afternoon of programming designed to help attendees better understand the funding landscape, and the types of programs available for founders, and to hear from companies that are working on the big problems of the blue economy. Attendees will get to hear from VCs investing in the maritime and blue industry as well as directors that are fostering innovation in the industry.
Washington Maritime Blue and its partners are proud to bring to Austin an afternoon of talks, panels, and presentations featuring the blue economy. You will hear from the founders of Sea Ahead, Braid Theory, as well as from the programs of Washington Maritime Blue.
Speakers will include Brock Mansfield (Meloriate Partners), Jim Cooper (Braid Theory), Vanessa Scott (Scripps San Diego), Mark Huang (Sea Ahead), Phoebe Wang (Amazon Climate Pledge Fund), Joshua Berger (Maritime Blue), and many many more surprises. Networking along with food and drinks will follow the program.
